OUR OWN DIVINE FAITH

THE INTRODUCTION

The Bible says, "By faith (believing in God) Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed (did what God said); and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in a the land of promise as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs of the same promises: for he look for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God" (Hebrews 11:8-10). Now, in being New Testament Christians, we are walking by a trusting faith in the living God because we are believing in His promises. Therefore we should keep trusting in the living God so that we can enjoy the Divine Blessings of New Testament Christianity in this life. Remember: All Scriptures which are used in this article will be taken from the King James Version of the Bible.

THE NEED FOR OUR OWN DIVINE FAITH

1. It takes faith to please God because He is our Creator. Why does it take faith to please the Lord our God? It takes faith to please the Lord our God because He is invisible unto us in this life, but we must believe in the existence and the promises of the living God. "Without Faith (minus faith on our part) it is impossible to please him (God): for he that cometh to God must believe that he is ( that He is alive and doing well), and that he is a rewarder (a promise keeper) of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6).

2. It takes faith to please Christ because He was made to be our Redeemer. Why does it take faith to please Christ the Lord? It take faith to please Christ the Lord because must believe that He is our Saviour. Our Lord said, "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he (the Christ: the Saviour: the Redeemer), ye shall die in your sins" (John 8:24).

3. It takes faith to overcome the forces of evil. How can we overcome the powers of Satan without a trusting faith in promises of God? We must have a trusting faith in the promises of God so that we can overcome the world. "This is the victory that overcome the world, even our faith" ( John 5:4).

THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR OWN DIVINE FAITH

1. We can increase our faith by hearing the word of God. If we want to increase our faith in Spiritual Things, we must learn more about the word of God. "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).

2. We can develop our faith by studying the word of God. If we want to develop our faith, we must continue to study the word of God. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing (handling aright) the word of truth", i. e. the Scriptures: the word of God (2 Timothy 2:15).

3. We can improve our faith by enduring temptations. If we want to improve our faith, we must endure the temptations which come our way. "Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations (many difference kinds of temptation): That the trail of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 1:6-7).

4. We can increase our faith by fighting a good fight of faith. If we want to increase our faith, we must continue to fight a good fight of faith. "Fight (battle) a good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witness" (1 Timothy 6:12).

THE NATURE OF OUR OWN DIVINE FAITH

1. We have a working faith because we are keeping the commandments of God. If we want to have a working faith, we must believe in the commandments of God and then obey (keep) the precepts of God. "Thou believest that there is one God: thou doest well: the devils also believe and tremble. but wilt thou know, O van man, that faith without works is dead?" (James 2:19-20).

2. We have a loving faith because we are manifesting love to the best of our ability and knowledge. If we want to have a loving faith, we must manifest love in our life to the best of our ability and knowledge. "For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love" (Galatians 5:6).

THE BLESSINGS OF OUR OWN DIVINE FAITH

1. We are justified by faith because we are obeying the laws of God. We are saved by faith because faith is a part of God's plan of salvation. "Therefore being justified by faith (a working faith), we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1).

2. Christ dwells in our heart by faith because we are walking by faith. Christ does dwell in our hearts in a Spiritual Way because we can have Spiritual Fellowship with Him. "That he (God) would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man: that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth and height; And to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God" (Ephesus 3:16-17).

3. Our faith is not in vain because we believe in a risen Christ who has been raised from the grave. "Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen; And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain: ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept" (1 Corinthians 15:12-20).

THE APPLICATION

1. If we want to develop the Proper Faith in our being of life upon the earth, we must be willing to learn that the damnable heresies of the Religious World is what makes a Ranked Hierarchy to rule in a religious way upon the earth because they simply make the Clergy and the Laity Class of persons to exist in their man-made churches.

2. The New Testament Church of Christ must Scripturally teach that a Ranked Hierarchy can not rule in the Lord's Church upon the earth because each congregation of the New Testament Church must be autonomous (self-ruled), and under the leadership of its own qualified elders or bishops. For an example:

THE RELIGIOUS FOLLY OF A RANKED HIERARCHY

THE DAMNABLE HERESIES OF THE RELIGIOUS WORLD

Our Lord said, "Ye do err not knowing the Scriptures nor the Power of God" (Matthew 22:29).

1. A Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth because Christ (not a redeemed man) is the Head (the Ruler) of the Lord's Church. Paul said, "He (Christ) is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning,, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence", i. e. being first in power, rule, and authority (Colossians 1:18). (KJV) Therefore, since a Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth, this greatly enriches the whole being of our own Redeemed Nature of life because a redeemed man can not rule over the Lord's Church.

2. A Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth because each congregation of the Lord's Church must be autonomous (self-ruled) and under the leadership of its own qualified elders or bishops. Luke said, "And when they had ordained them elders (more than one person) in ever church, and had prayed, with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed" (Acts 14:23). (KJV) Therefore, since a Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth, this greatly exalts all aspects of our own Redeemed Nature of life because a presiding elder can not rule over other elders or bishops, nor can a presiding priest rule over other priests in the Lord's Church.

3. A Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth because all New Testament Christians are made to be kings and priest unto God so that the Lord can help them to rule over the forces of evil. John said, "Unto him (Christ) that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood. And hath make us kings and priest unto God and his Father; unto him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen" (Revelation 1:6-7). (KJV) Therefore, since a Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth, this greatly magnifies the total sum of our own Redeemed Nature of life because no redeemed king or priest can be any greater in power, rule, and authority than another redeemed king or priest in the Lord's Church.

4. A Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth because no one religious man can be first in power, rule, and authority which concerns his leadership in the Lord's Church. John said of Diotrephes who wanted to be first in power, rule and authority, "I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence (wanting to be first in power, rule and authority) among them, receiveth us not. Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth prating against us with malicious words; and not content therewith, neither doeth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church" (2 John 9-10). (KJV) Therefore, since a Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth, this greatly upgrades the whole being of our own Redeemed Nature of life because no one redeemed man can be first in power, rule, and authority in the Lord's Church.

5.
A Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth because we can not make any priest (a religious person) to be our Spiritual Father upon the earth. Our Lord said, "Call no man (a religious person) your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, who is in heaven" (Matthew 23:9). (KJV) Therefore, since a Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth, this greatly amplifies all aspects of our own Redeemed Nature of life because no one redeemed man can be our Spiritual Father upon the earth. For an example, we can not make any church leader to be called: Father Jones, Father, Brown, Father Burke, and etc.

6. A Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth because we can not made any redeemed man to be our Reverend upon the earth. The Psalmist said concerning the Divine Name of God, "Holy and reverend is his name" (Psalms 111:9). (KJV) Therefore, since a Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth, this greatly enhances the total sum of our own Redeemed Nature of life because we can not make any church leader to be called by this Religious Title. For illustrating purposes, we can not make any church leader to be called Rev. Jones, Rev. Brown, Rev. Burke and etc.

7. A Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth because we can not pray to any angel or a loved one who has departed this life. Paul said, "Let not man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility (making others to be greater than you are in a religious way) and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind" (Colossians 2:18). (KJV) Therefore, since a Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth, this greatly elevates the total sum of our own Redeemed Nature of life because only the Lord -not an angel nor a departed loved one - can help us to overcome the forces of evil.

8. A Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth because the distinction of the Clergy and the Laity Class of persons can not exist in matters of the New Testament Christianity. Paul said to the Church at Corinth which was making the characteristics of the Clergy and Laity Class of persons to rule in that Church, "For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul, and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal"? (1 Corinthians 3:3-4) (KJV) Therefore, since a Ranked Hierarchy can not Scripturally RULE in the New Testament Church of Christ upon the earth, this greatly extols all aspects of our own Redeemed Nature of life because the Clergy and the Laity Class of persons can not exist in matters of New Testament Christianity.

Our Lord said, "Ye shall know the truth, and THE TRUTH shall make you FREE", i. e. of sin (John 8:32).
